No pistol permit on earth will cover you in ILLINOIS OR WISCONSIN – THEY DO NOT ALLOW CONCEALED CARRY. 3. UTAH & FLORIDA non-resident permits do not cover a New York resident in CO, MI, SC, NH, & ME. Permits for those states ARE AVAILABLE but you are required to apply for them directly. 4. Without a NYS pistol permit you can get UT but not FL. 5. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER INDIVIDUAL FIREARMS WITH A UT OR FL PERMIT. 1. DO YOU TRAVEL TO FLORIDA OR KANSAS? IF YES – GET FLORIDA PERMIT. 2. DO YOU TRAVEL TO MN OR WA? IF YES – GET UTAH PERMIT. SHOULD I GET BOTH FL & UT PERMITS? 1. TOGETHER BOTH PERMITS WILL COVER A NY RESIDENT IN 32 DIFFERENT STATES. 2. STATE PERMIT PROGRAMS CAN CHANGE. 3. FEDERAL LAW ON FIREARMS CAN CHANGE. 4. MORE PERMITS ESTABLISH YOUR CREDIBILITY AS A RESPONSIBLE CONCEALED CARRY CITIZEN 5. THE COST TO RENEW UTAH IS $10 FOR EVERY 5 YEARS ($2 PER YEAR) 6. IT’S ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!

Follow up any permit training with our Combative Pistol Course. Talk to people that have graduated. You really learn to use your firearm. This training is not available through all local instructors. Chris Fry of MDTS Training should be consulted. IF you find yourself in a bind, your lawyer, their lawyer, the jury, and the judge will want to hear that you have serious training to walk around with a concealed firearm. Get real training.
